The Zine That Teaches You How to Love
Directed by Michael Cooney
"Jack Frost" is a horror/slasher pic is so awful that I had to fast forward through most of it. The beginning of the story is the standard accident-sets-prisoner-free variety. The difference here is that the prisoner gets sprayed with glowing green liquid that transforms him into a rampaging cardboard box snowman. The cardboard boxes return to his small hometown to get revenge on the cop who sent him to jail.
The following unpleasantness is highlighted in a scene when Jack rapes the cop's daughter in the shower using his carrot nose (played by really hard-up, aspiring actress Shannon Elizabeth). The filmmakers seem to be going for laughs with this, so this odious scene gained my complete contempt for this flick. "Jack Frost" is a repellent straight-to-video abortion and is to be avoided at all costs. Even for a movie addict it's horrendous. An equivalent would be an alcoholic drinking radiator coolant to fight off the shakes. Don't do it, man! Most of the budget for this shit was spent on a really kewl 3-D video jacket. It's the only reason why I was tricked into watching this soul-wasting crude. -- Rating: $0.00
